ABOUT THIS PIECE

The Honesty Opens trouser is a wide legged trouser that fits neatly around the waist and hips before pleating at the hips flare open to a more volumed hem.

A natural waistline with belt loops provide a more relaxed feel to another wise dramatic piece. Centre front zip and side pockets complete the garment.

This trans-seasonal wool blend combines comfort and ease one material.

Its soft twill finish gives it a fluid but structured handle, and its material blend allows it to be wrinkle resistant as well, making it the perfect material for all year round.

INSPIRATION

Tight pleats around the waist explode into volume above and below. Representing confessed vulnerabilities that draw the other closer in a delicate synchronicity as two separate lives become entwined.

The collection is inspired by the emotions experienced in new relationships. That nervous energy which races through your body causing a surge of excitement as if you are about to explode.

ABOUT THE DESIGNERS

palmer//harding launched in 2011 with the simple idea to elevate the humble shirt.

We believe in originality and creativity, and these fundamentals are at the heart and soul of each palmer//harding piece.

Levi Palmer (Belton, Texas) and Matthew Harding (London, England), both alumni of Londons’ Central Saint Martins, live and work in London.

We approach each collection by examining the emotional journeys that we experience, and creating narratives through verb lists which are in turn used to drape and sculpt shapes with fabric across the body.

The sculptural aspect of the design process is an integral part of the brands’ identity - creating unique pieces, centred on the shirt, but also developed across dresses, outerwear, knitwear and other categories.
