ABOUT THIS PIECE
The fracture dress is our take on the classic shirt dress, however the versatility in this piece makes it anything but classic.
A button-apart hem means you can transform this dress into a short shirt, or a long deconstructed shirt just by unbuttoning the hem.
Unique details, such as flared sleeves with a front opening meant to hang romantically as you move through your day, give this shirt a modern edge.
Its A-line silhouette provides comfort while a half hidden belt still flatters your figure, and its V-neckline provides an open display for jewellery. Oh and don't forget side pockets!

INSPIRATION
“There is strength in vulnerability”, a quote from the designers explains how detailing within this design is inspired by the idea of opening up and sharing your inner most thoughts and feelings.
The Pre-Fall collection is an exploration into the heritage and identity of palmer//harding. This self examination takes form in the shape of dissected garments which provide transformative designs for day to day dressing.

ABOUT THE DESIGNERS
palmer//harding launched in 2011 with the simple idea to elevate the humble shirt.
We believe in originality and creativity, and these fundamentals are at the heart and soul of each palmer//harding piece.
Levi Palmer (Belton, Texas) and Matthew Harding (London, England), both alumni of Londons’ Central Saint Martins, live and work in London.
We approach each collection by examining the emotional journeys that we experience, and creating narratives through verb lists which are in turn used to drape and sculpt shapes with fabric across the body.
The sculptural aspect of the design process is an integral part of the brands’ identity - creating unique pieces, centred on the shirt, but also developed across dresses, outerwear, knitwear and other categories.
Each palmer//harding piece has a unique story to tell, which can be discovered in the "About this Piece" section.
